2022 Art Submission Info

We appreciate your interest in working with us or referring an artist to us. We take it as a compliment and appreciate each request for submission!

We love looking at new art and working with new and established artists. We receive a high volume of submissions on average for every issue. In order for our curators to spend the time to give each and every submission entry the time it deserves we have to compensate our curators for their time, their coorespondance with each artist, gathering all the details and organzing it all in a timely matter so that the design team will have it ready to layout in the new magazine when they are ready. We do understand that its not in everyones budget to be able to pay our submission fee but its something we do have to charge. If you do choose to submit your art please note that we take your submission seriously as we know you have made the choice to pay that fee. So on our end we will make sure to communicate with each artists who submits on a normal basis to let them know if when their work was accepted and what steps they need to take next.
For each new magazine we take on 25-40 new artists in order to give each new magazine a set of fresh new work for our readers. This also lets us really give a lot of opportunity to those who do choose to submit. Unlike other calls for art where hundreds of people submit and only a handful of artists are chosen. We have set our submission fee at a price that only those who really want to be a part of our magazine will do so, thus your chances of getting accepted are much higher because there’s on average less competition.
Due to this lengthy processes of curating our magazine through both invites and by art submissions we have to take all the time we can right up until the designers are finished with the magazine layout and it goes off to print. So because of this we do not have any set date that we will be telling everyone if their work was accepted or not. Our design team works with our curators to make sure each page has a aesthetic feel and flow through the magazine. With this design process it allows us to create a magazine that has thought, patience, intuitiveness and beautiful contrasting works of art all chosen specifically to fit on the page they appear on. The downside to this is that we are not able to give updates to artists on wether their work has been accepted or not. We sometimes will still be finding artists from our entries right up to the last week of design. After the magazine comes out you will be sent a free digital version of the magazine as a thank you for you entry. This is when you will be able to read through the magazine and see if your work was included.
